Fostering Rigorous Philosophical Inquiry in South Asia
The Dev Centre for Philosophical Studies (DCPS) was established under the Department of Philosophy at the University of Dhaka to serve as an international nexus for critical thinking, ethical governance, and metaphysical dialogue. Named in solemn commemoration of the renowned humanist philosopher Dr. Govinda Chandra Dev, the Centre publishes high-impact academic journals, sponsors funded empirical-philosophical projects, and convenes national and international philosophical symposia.

To cultivate autonomous rational inquiry, dismantle dogmatic paradigms through analytical critique, and bridge classical Eastern wisdom with modern philosophical methodologies.
Flagship Scholarly Journals
The Dev Centre for Philosophical Studies publishes two premier biannual, double-blind peer-reviewed journals dedicated to foundational philosophical inquiry, epistemological critique, and South Asian thought.
Philosophy and Progress
Philosophy and Progress is the flagship English scholarly journal published twice a year (January-June, July-December) by the Dev Centre for Philosophical Studies, Department of Philosophy, University of Dhaka. Established to fulfill the intellectual and moral vision of martyr philosopher Prof. Dr. Govinda Chandra Dev, the journal publishes high-caliber, peer-reviewed original research across epistemology, ethics, philosophy of science, political philosophy, and South Asian philosophical traditions.
দর্শন ও প্রগতি
দর্শন ও প্রগতি হলো ঢাকা বিশ্ববিদ্যালয়ের দর্শন বিভাগের গোবিন্দদেব দর্শন গবেষণা কেন্দ্র কর্তৃক বাংলা ভাষায় প্রকাশিত একটি ষাণ্মাসিক গবেষণা পত্রিকা। শহীদ দার্শনিক অধ্যাপক ড. গোবিন্দচন্দ্র দেবের বৌদ্ধিক ও নৈতিক আদর্শকে ধারণ করে জার্নালটি দর্শনের বিভিন্ন শাখায় উচ্চমানসম্পন্ন, বিশেষজ্ঞদের দ্বারা পুনর্নিরীক্ষিত ও মৌলিক গবেষণাপ্রবন্ধ প্রকাশ করে। জ্ঞানতত্ত্ব, নীতিদর্শন, বিজ্ঞানদর্শন, রাজনৈতিক দর্শন এবং দক্ষিণ এশীয় দর্শনসহ দর্শনের বিভিন্ন গুরুত্বপূর্ণ ক্ষেত্রে গবেষণা ও জ্ঞানচর্চাকে সমৃদ্ধ করতে দর্শন ও প্রগতি গুরুত্বপূর্ণ ভূমিকা পালন করে।
